Sarma Festival

Every June the “Arapis” Cultural Association of Nikisiani holds the festival of the sarma in the forecourt of the church of Agios Georgios where everyone can sample the traditional food of the region.
Visitors can enjoy over 8,000 sarmas (stuffed vine leaves), which are made voluntarily by the ladies of Nikisiani. The events are accompanied by live music, traditional songs and performances by dance ensembles.
