Each October over 600 kilos of goat meat are cooked in the village of Platamonas – reared in the village – to make a delicious soup. Who is invited? Everyone! While the cooking is going on, a colourful bazaar is held in the streets of the village. Here you can find tasty local products, such as the Greek superfood of Cornelian cherries, potatoes, cheese, etc. The festival has been held every year on the first Sunday of October.
