It was opened with the purpose of showcasing the maritime traditions of Kavala. During your visit you will be able to see nautical and shipping instruments, reconstructions of traditional boats, books on shipping, seascapes by Kavala painters, dozens of photographs from the port and its traffic, a traditional fishing boat known as a “trehantiri” from 1961 and the historic boat of 1932, now repaired, that was in action during the German-Bulgarian occupation.
