LEFKI – ANO LEFKI – HALKERO

Located between Kavala, Nea Karvali and Halkero, are the two small villages of Lefki and Ano Lefki. Halkero acquired its name from the surrounding mountains, which contained copper (halkos) mines. Lefki and Ano Lefki are renowned for their natural beauty. Their name, which means poplar, derives, – from what else? – from the many poplar trees in the area!

Distance from Kavala:
Lefki 14 km
Ano Lefki 16 km
Halkero 10 km

You will be amazed by the stone bridge between Lefki and Ano Lefki.
