XERIAS – AVRAMYLIA – DIALEKTO – PARADEISOS

Driving towards the eastern edge of the region, the River Nestos, you are welcomed by the beautiful well-tended villages of Xerias, Avramylia, Dialekto and, the final one, Paradeisos.

The wonderful natural environment with the dense vegetation, the springs, small lakes, running waters and plane trees, the trout farming in Paradeisos, will help you to grasp the importance of the region. It is not odd that the ancient city of Topeiros flourished around here and remained so until the Byzantine era…

If you love nature and walking, this place will reward you. The River Nestos was, in any case, a son of the god Oceanus!

Distance from Kavala:
Xeria 31 km
Avramylia 36 km
Dialekto 37 km
Paradeisos 41 km

Ancient, traditional and modern pottery meet at the wonderful workshop, the Centre for Contemporary Pottery, run by the well-known sculptor and potter Kostas Karakitsos at Avramylia. The workshop can be visited by prior arrangement: www.karak.gr.
