On the road for Keramoti, the hospitable villages of Erateino, with its geothermic field, Chrysochori, Agiasma, Nea Karya, Monastiraki and Haidefto await you as though they are old friends.

Towards the beaches of Timarios and Agiasma, a region that belongs to the Natura 2000 network, lagoons are formed in which migrating birds live, as well as flamingos, little egrets and seagulls. Labyrinthine waterways lead you to the mouth of the River Nestos, where the waters of the river encounter the salt of the sea. The region is the best possible destination for you to become the young explorer that you always hid inside of you!

The last stop is Keramoti. With its natural lake, it stands provocatively beautiful facing the Aegean Sea, showing off its sandspit! A tourist resort offering a high level of standards and services, it attracts many tourists and visitors and is connected by ferry to the island of Thassos.

Distance from Kavala: 40 km

At Keramoti you can learn about the ecological value of the Nestos region at the Nestos Delta Information Centre and the Riverside Nestos Forest Visitor Reception Centre.
