The route for Lekani and Kechrokampos, the chief villages of the region, is demanding but at the same time impressive.

Traditional and modern villages, monasteries and countless little churches, vines, oak trees and perennial trees, springs and watermills, gardens full of colours and aromas are the hidden treasures of Mt Lekani. With its tallest peak having an altitude to 1,298 metres, the gates to heaven must start from these villages!

Makryhori, Platania, Nikites, Elafohori Dysvato, Stegno, Agios Kosmas, Skopos, Platamonas and Dipotamos are the names of the small villages of the region which draw the eye.

Distance from Kavala:
Lekani 48 km
Kechrokampos 50 km

Visit the festivals that are held in the region in the summer and enjoy the Lekani potatoes, local cheeses, meats and delicacies from the region. All this in the shadow of the plane trees!
