Holy Monastery of Agios Dimitrios

A women’s monastery which was initially a chapel of Saint Demetrius, piously maintained by a family of shepherds. The monastery celebrates on 26 October.
The monastery is located in an idyllic ravine in Nikisiani, Pangaio. At the point above the monastery complex, is the holy water spring of Agia Varvara (St Barbara), a fountain from which cool water gushes from Pangaio!
