With an impressive coastline of over 65 km in length, in this region sand dunes, golden sandy beaches and beautiful little bays with calm waters and fine sands can be found.

Tourist resorts with very high standards, diving into the sea within the shade of the Byzantine castles and impressive rock formations are the image that one is left with of Nea Irakleitsa, Sarakina and the tower of Apollonia.

On the other side, at the foothills of Mt Symvolo you will see villages poking out in which the aromas of grape and olive mingle with the history of the region. The Olive Museum at Elaiohori and the folklore museum in Folia help to keep the traditions alive

Distance from Kavala:
Nea Irakleitsa 16 km
Agios Andreas 17 km
Nea Peramos 19 km
Eleftheres 22 km
Elaiohori 27 km
Myrtofito 33 km
Folia 36 km

After swimming in the sea, try your luck dipping into some food! The chickens of Myrtofito and the local tsipouro will make you feel like little Greek gods!
